“Believe me, Suvendu Adhikari (BJP candidate) will win the Nandigram elections,” he said.
Union Home Secretary Amit Shah said on Sunday that the BJP would win more than 122 of the 180 seats allocated to the ballot box in West Bengal in five phases.
Mr Shah, as he addressed a rally here in Purba Bardhaman district, claimed TMC chief and supreme minister Mamata Banerjee will have to make an exit after losing the seat of Nandigram to profit of the BJP.
“Didi appears demoralized after five rounds of elections as it has been established that the BJP, with over 122 seats, is well ahead of her.”
“Believe me, Suvendu Adhikari (BJP candidate) will win the Nandigram elections,” he said.
The Home Secretary further said Banerjee should be bid farewell with a huge defeat, a defeat worthy of his stature.
Claiming that illegal immigrants take away the benefits intended for the country’s citizens, he said: “People like you and I are second-class citizens for Didi because we are not adding weight to his vote bank.”
