Vivo V21 5G specs spotted on Geekbench ahead of India launch

The price of the Vivo V21 5G in India will be announced soon enough, with the company officially starting to tease the phone’s launch in the country. We don’t have a launch date yet, but rumor has it that the phone will arrive shortly after its debut in Malaysia on April 27. A few key specs of the Vivo V21 5G have already been announced, including 44MP front camera, 64MP rear camera, 8GB RAM, and more. Now 91mobiles have spotted the Vivo V21 5G with model number V2050 in the Geekbench database. The list reveals a few important specs, including the chipset.

According to the Geekbench listing, the upcoming Vivo V21 5G will be powered by the MediaTek MT6853V / TNZA chipset, which is the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. It is a low-cost 5G chipset with a built-in 5G modem and offers clock speeds of up to 2.4 GHz. The Geekbench listing further reveals that the phone will come with 8 GB of RAM, which has already been confirmed by an official teaser. The smartphone will also come with Android 11.

The listing shows a single-core score of 538 and a multi-core score of 1586 on Geekbench, which is what you would expect from a mid-range device.

Upcoming launch of Vivo V21 5G in India

A launch date for the Vivo V21 5G in India has yet to be revealed, but the company has started teasing the phone’s arrival. We know the phone comes with a gradient matte finish back panel and a rectangular rear camera module that will house a triple camera. According to teasers on Vivo Malaysia’s website, the rear camera system includes a “64MP OIS night camera.” The company also touts the Vivo V21 5G as its thinnest 5G smartphone. Finally, the phone will also be equipped with a “44MP OIS Super Night Selfie System”.

The Vivo V21 5G will launch alongside the Vivo V21e in Malaysia. In India, the company has so far only teased the launch of the V21 5G.
