Rohit has averaged 60 runs at the World Test Championships. He has four centuries to his name. And a double century. This is the reason for including Rohit. Rohit has named Sri Lankan cricketer Dimuth Karunaratne as his partner. Karunaratne scored 999 runs at an average of 55.5. Australia’s Marnus Labushein was undoubtedly selected as the number three batsman.
Joe Root is in fourth place. Virat Kohli and Babur Assam, who are playing in this position, have been dropped. Steve Smith also arrives at number five. All-rounder Ben Stotox is in sixth place. Rishabh will bat in seventh position. Ashwin is the only spinner in the team. Pat Cummins, Stuart Broad and Josh Hazlewood were also named as pacers.
