India have lost their second ICC final under Virat Kohli. They lost to Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final and to New Zealand in the final of the Test Championship. India also lost in the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup. Former England cricketer Monty Panesar says it would be good to remove Kohli from the captaincy to play without pressure in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“India’s T20 captaincy should be given to Rohit Sharma. He plays that role magnificently for the Mumbai Indians,” said Monty Panesar. India’s next Test series is against England. If there is a setback there too, Kohli will be under pressure. Panesar reminded that this could affect the World Cup as well.
