Virat Kohli named ICC Cricketer of the Decade

India captain Virat Kohli has been named the Sir Garfield Sobers’ Cricketer of the Decade. The awards were announced on Monday, December 28th. He was also named the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Decade.

Over the past decade, Kohli has scored 20,396 runs, 66 centuries and 94 fifties at an average of 56.97 in all formats of cricket. In ODIs alone, Kohli has scored over 10,000 runs, 39 centuries and 48 half-centuries at an average of 61.83.

Australian batsman Steve Smith is the best Test cricketer of the decade. Over the past decade, Smith has scored 7040 runs at an average of 65.79 in Tests. He has scored 26 centuries and 28 fifties during this period.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan is the ICC Twenty20 Player of the Decade. Rashid has taken the most wickets in Twenty20 over the past decade.
