ITANAGAR, March 3: The cast and crew of the Bollywood film in production, ‘Bhediya’, are here in the capital and are expected to shoot in Ziro (Lower Subansiri), Sagalee (Papum Pare) and parts of Pakke Kessang district over a period of time. two months.

Speaking to a press conference here at the Civil Secretariat,

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan said his upcoming film “Bhediya” will promote the artists of Arunachal, as well as the state’s culture and tourism.

Dhawan informed that about 70% of the artists in “Bhediya” are from Arunachal, including a main character, named Jomin and written by director Amar Kaushik.

The Student of the Year actor further disclosed that rapper Arunachal K4 Kheko will also be featured in the film. Kheko sang the theme song for the movie and wrote the lyrics as well.

He also appreciated the state government for the hospitality and congratulations.

Lead actress Kriti Sanon, who plays a character who lives in Arunachal, also praised the beauty of the state.

“This is my first time in the northeast. I had seen photos of Amar Kaushik’s recognition, ”said Sanon.

“We are very happy to be here,” said producer Dinesh Vijan, making sure to showcase Arunachal’s true beauty in the film.

Director Amar Kaushik, who previously directed Stree, has spoken of his connection to Arunachal as his father was a forest here.

“I am an Arunachalee. My father was a ranger here and I grew up in places like Roing, Shantipur, Seijosa, Itanagar and Bhalukpong, ”Kaushik said.

Kaushik further claimed that he would try to portray the beauty of Arunachal through his film.

The film is slated to hit theaters in April 2022.

Previously, by welcoming the team, the Minister of the Interior and Information and Public Relations Bamang Félix assured that the department would ensure the shooting and the entourage without obstacle.

Felix hoped that “Bhediya” would pave the way for other filmmakers to shoot in Arunachal.

Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo also welcomed the actors and the team to Arunachal on behalf of the government.
