US will not set up base in Pakistan: Imran Khan – NEWS 360 – WORLD

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the United States will not allow Pakistan to base or use any kind of measures in Afghanistan. He was responding to a question from the media on whether Pakistan would help the US set up a base across the border to carry out cross-border counter-terrorism missions against Al Qaeda, ISIS and the Taliban. Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has ruled out the possibility of the United States preparing military bases for counter-terrorism operations in Afghanistan. At the same time, Taliban spokesman Sohail Shaheen welcomed Pakistan’s decision not to provide bases for US troops. Shaheen added that the US demand for bases in Pakistan could not be justified. US President Joe Biden has announced that he will withdraw US troops from Afghanistan by September 11.
