Uncertainty over Kovid death figures in Kerala; The center wants to add what is left

The Central Government has said that the statistics on Kovid deaths in Kerala from December to April last year are unclear. The central government said it was not clear why Kerala had not disclosed the names of those killed since December 22.

The Central Government suspects that some of the Kovid deaths in December, January, March and April were not included in the official records. Until December 22, the state government had published the names of those who died of Kovid infection. But after December 22, the government released only the figures for the number of women and men

The Center said the state government could add more unofficial deaths. The Ministry of Health also pointed out that governments like Maharashtra and Bihar have been given the opportunity to add to the deaths left behind.
