LONDON: India is among the invited countries to join part of the G7 Foreign and Development Ministers’ meeting to be hosted by the UK next month, the Foreign Office said on Tuesday , Commonwealth and Development (FCDO).
The London meeting will be the first in-person summit of foreign ministers from the Group of Seven countries – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United States and United Kingdom as well as the European Union (EU) and will be held to what has been dubbed a Covid Secure Medium between May 3 and 5.
It is also likely that it will include Foreign Minister S Jaishankar for parts of the summit, with India among the nations invited to the Indo-Pacific region.
