Delhi: Indian wrestler Sumit Malik prepares for Tokyo Olympics The Indian Wrestling Federation has banned Sumit for two years for failing a doping test. The ban could be appealed within seven days, but with only 20 days to go before the start of the Olympics, Sumit may not be able to complete the process.
Sumit, who failed a sample test, was taken to disciplinary action on March 3 last year. The two-year ban was upheld after B failed the sample test as well. Sumit, a gold medalist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, has qualified for Tokyo in the 125 kg category.
