CPM activists are protesting in Ponnani with slogans against Ponnani. The protest in Ponnani started at the same time that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was attending a public meeting in Dharmadam, launching the Left Democratic Front’s campaign in the state.

When the state leadership denied the opportunity to Assembly Speaker P Sriramakrishnan in Ponnani, a section of activists came on the scene demanding the nomination of TM Siddiqui, a member of the district committee.

The protesters are holding party flags and banners. By the time the march started from Chandappadi and reached Chamravatta, the number of people had increased. The demonstration was held under the slogan that the party will correct the leaders and the people will correct the party.

During the discussions related to the selection of candidates, first in the Area Committee and later in the District Committee. A. Siddiqui’s name was heard by local leaders.

TM Siddique, who is close to Sri Ramakrishna, is widely circulated on social media as the captain of Ponnani. A campaign has also been launched on social media against Nandakumar, another leader who is heard in Ponnani.
