CPM activists are protesting in Ponnani with slogans against Ponnani. The protest in Ponnani started at the same time that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was attending a public meeting in Dharmadam, launching the Left Democratic Front’s campaign in the state.
When the state leadership denied the opportunity to Assembly Speaker P Sriramakrishnan in Ponnani, a section of activists came on the scene demanding the nomination of TM Siddiqui, a member of the district committee.
