The corpses of those who died of corona infection may be brought home; CM says confiscation proceedings will be stopped

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the funeral protocol of those who died due to corona infection has been changed. Permission was granted to take the body home at the appointed time. It is allowed to stay at home for less than an hour. The Chief Minister said in a press conference that religious ceremonies would be allowed in a minimal manner.

The mental stress of the relatives of those who died of corona infection needs to be alleviated. The biggest problem facing the society in the epidemic is that the loved ones cannot be seen when they die. The new decision is based on this.

People who have died of corona may have naturally defaulted on loans taken from various banks earlier. The CM also directed to stop the confiscation proceedings as part of this. The delta variant in the state is responsible for the extreme spread. The spread of the disease will slowly subside and end in time. Therefore, there is no need to relax the existing restrictions, Pinarayi Vijayan added.
