Jakarta: A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a church in Indonesia. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a mosque in the southern Sulawesi province of Makassar.
Dozens were injured. Buildings outside the church and parked vehicles were damaged. According to international media reports, the bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police station.
Neither individuals nor organizations have claimed responsibility for the blast. In 2018, 30 people were killed in a suicide bombing in the town of Surabaya. A bomb blast near the northern city of Bali in 2002 killed at least 202 people.
