Square Enix Presents is a new event focused on Balan Wonderworld and more

Square Enix is launching its own Nintendo Direct style video event called Square Enix Presents. This showcase will kick off on March 18 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. EST, and will focus on a handful of upcoming and ongoing versions of Square Enix. These include the $ 60 platformer Balan Wonderworld, which has a demo that you can try out now.

Square Enix Presents will stream live on the publisher’s Twitch and YouTube channels. And the company plans to roll out around 40 minutes of updates to its games. This is promising news for the following games and projects:

  • Outriders
  • Balan Wonderworld
  • tomb Raider
  • Marvel’s Avengers
  • Just Cause Mobile
  • A new mobile game from Square Enix Montreal
  • “Fantasy” games from Square Enix’s subsidiary, Taito

Outriders is a role-playing shooter that will be released on April 1, and Balan Wonderworld will be released on March 26. So expect Square Enix to explain why you should be thrilled to pre-order these products.

As for Tomb Raider, Square Enix says it will make announcements about the series’ “ongoing 25th anniversary celebration”. The Microsoft Store has already disclosed the existence of Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy with a March 18 release date. It is therefore possible that the shadow falls next to this presentation.

We’ll find out for sure when the series goes live – that is, if we can get away from the Balan Wonderworld demo.
