North Korea withdraws from Tokyo Olympics on July 23. North Korea is the first country to postpone the Olympics through Kovid. The North Korean Olympic Committee said the withdrawal was based on Kovid’s uncontrollable health concerns. The committee made the decision at a meeting via video conference. This is the first time North Korea has withdrawn from the Olympics since its boycott of the 1984 and 1988 Olympics. The Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 23 to August 8.
