Mumbai: Senior Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, 98, has been admitted to hospital after suffering from shortness of breath. He was admitted to the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai yesterday and is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. Hospital sources said that he was being monitored and his health was satisfactory.
He was admitted to the hospital earlier this month and was discharged two weeks ago. The actor was rushed back to the hospital yesterday after suffering from shortness of breath due to his age and difficulties.
He made his Bollywood debut in 1944 and has acted in over 65 films including Dileep Kumar Devdas, Kohinoor, Mukal E Aasam and Ram Aur Shyam. He last appeared in a film in 1998. Two of his brothers died of Kovid infection last year. Brothers Aslam Khan and Ishan Khan were killed.
