Several people were injured in a shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, police said Friday morning, without revealing any casualties and adding that the shooter had committed suicide.
An Indianapolis police officer said authorities no longer believed there was an active threat to the community.

We have several people with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, ”said Officer Genea Cook, adding that others had been taken to various hospitals in the area.
The incident took place at a FedEx facility in Mirabel Road, Indianapolis, Thursday night, police said. The facility is located near the Indianapolis International Airport.
A spokesperson for FedEx said the company was aware of the shooting at its ground facility near the airport.
“We are working to collect more information and are cooperating with the investigating authorities,” he added.
An Indiana State Police public information officer tweeted that Interstate 70, off which the FedEx facility is located, has reopened with no access to Ameriplex Parkway in either direction .
