Mexico: Sea fires in Mexico. The fire broke out yesterday at sea level west of the Yucatan Peninsula on the Peninsula. The fire was caused by a gas leak from a pipeline under the sea.
The video of the fire burning above the surface of the ocean went viral on social media. The surface of the ocean was similar to lava. The video also shows the fire rising in a circle.
The gas leak occurred in a pipeline connecting to the Maloob Sap Oil developer, one of Pemex’s most important platforms. Pemex said the cause of the fire was not clear and studies were ongoing.
Ships and helicopters put out the blaze. The fire was brought under control after hours of hard work. The company said there were no casualties. Many people have already watched the video.
