Samsung Galaxy M42 5G, Galaxy A42 spotted on BIS list, launch imminent in India

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G and Samsung Galaxy A42 5G are rumored to be launched in India shortly after both smartphones were spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website list.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G debuted in the United States in September of last year. The Galaxy M42 5G is not yet launched.

Although the company has not released any information on the launch of these phones, there have been rumors about the next two smartphones.

The BIS list of Samsung Galaxy M42 5G and Galaxy A42 5G only shows model numbers and dual SIM support of two phones. However, it does not include any specs or other details of the phones.

According to some reports, the smartphone with the model number SM-M426B / DS is said to be the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G, while the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G may have a model number of SM-A426B / DS.

Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G was reportedly rebranded as the Galaxy A42 5G after being spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG certification websites.

In November 2020, it was also spotted on the 3C certification website. The Galaxy M42 5G could be the first Galaxy phone in the M series to come with 5G after its launch in India.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G was launched in September last year in some regions. The price and specifications of the phone were not revealed about a month later after the company launched.

The Galaxy A42 5G phone has a 6.6 inch HD + Super AMOLED display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC.

It displays a quad-camera setup on the back that includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter.
