Pune: Captain Virat Kohli has said that Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are India’s first choice openers in ODIs.
Kohli, who opened with Rohit in the last Twenty20 against England, said he did not think he would open for India in any format.
Kohli was speaking to the media before the first ODI against England. Kohli added that Dhawan and Rohit have been performing well in the opening over the last few years and so they will still open the innings themselves.
Kohli said that he opened the T20I to play Suryakumar Yadav in the top order.
