BENGALURU : Nasscom, the umbrella body of the IT industry, on Thursday appointed Rekha M. Menon, President and Senior Managing Director of Accenture India, as President for 2021-2022. With this, she becomes the first woman to assume the role of President of Nasscom in its 30-year history.
Menon, previously vice president, succeeds UB Pravin Rao, COO, Infosys Ltd, who served as president of Nasscom for 2020-2021.
Nasscom also announced the appointment of Krishnan Ramanujam, Head of Business and Technology Services, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd as Vice President for 2021-2022.

In addition to this, Nasscom also announced its new executive board which includes industry sectors such as engineering research and development (ER&D), business process management (BPM), IT services, global capability centers ( GCC), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). and startups.
The new executive board will play a strategic role in enabling India’s tech sector to take leadership on the global map through targeted initiatives and programs. The list of Executive Board members is 40% represented by women leaders.
