Design

The look of the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is exactly the same. They come with a rectangular camera module on the back, a perforated screen with a hole placed in the center, a flat design and a fingerprint reader mounted on the side. But there are two important differences between the vanilla Redmi Note 10 and Pro variants. The first is the material used for the back side: while the Redmi Note 10 has a plastic back, the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max have a glass back. In addition, the Redmi Note 10 is a more compact device thanks to its smaller screen. At the same time, it is thicker in order to hold a battery with a capacity similar to the Pro variants.

Display

The Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max are equipped with the same screen: a Super AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, HDR10 certification and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The one that differs is still the Redmi Note 10 vanilla: it has an AMOLED display just like the big brothers, but it lacks a high refresh rate and it has a lower peak brightness. So you get an inferior experience, but still a really nice screen considering it’s an AMOLED panel.

Hardware / software

The three variants differ for the processor user: the Redmi Note 10 has the lowest-end chipset. We are talking about the Snapdragon 678. Another mid-range chipset with good performance, but inferior to the Snapdragon 732G mounted on the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The Pro variants also offer a better memory configuration as they contain up to 8GB of RAM, whereas you can only get the vanilla Note 10 with 4 or 6GB of RAM. Internal storage goes up to 128GB (UFS 2.2) and unfortunately all phones lack 5G connectivity.

Camera

Xiaomi has equipped each device in the Redmi Note 10 series with a different main camera. The Redmi Note 10 receives a 48 MP sensor, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 64 MP camera and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is the stunner with its main sensor of 108 MP. In each case, we’re talking about affordable camera phones, but the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes closest to the flagships with its good Samsung 108 MP camera. With the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max, you also get a better macro camera than the vanilla Note 10 (8 MP vs 5 MP), as well as a better selfie camera (16 MP vs 13 MP).

Drums

Redmi Note 10 packs a 5,000mAh battery, while Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max come with 5,020mAh batteries. The phones should come very close in terms of battery life and they offer similar charging speeds with their 33W charging technology.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Price

Redmi Note 10 starts at € 138 / $ 165 in India, Redmi Note 10 Pro has a starting price of € 184 / $ 220 and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max starts at € 218 / $ 261. If you don’t care about having a great rear camera, Redmi Note 10 Pro is enough for you, if not, go for the Pro Max. The Redmi Note 10 is for those who, apart from not needing super cameras, don’t even need a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a low-end chipset, but the difference in performance is not huge.
