Realme has promised a flagship powered by Snapdragon 888, and today the brand delivered it – meet the Realme GT 5G. This smartphone comes with impressive hardware, fast charging and even has a 3.5mm audio jack – a real rarity in flagships these days.
The Realme GT is built around a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution. The display supports 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sample rate with five different settings, depending on user preference.
The Snapdragon 888 has 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM as well as 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. You don’t have a microSD slot to expand this, but the card slot holds two nano-SIM cards.
The Realme GT 5G has three shooters on the back, only two of which are really useful – you get a 64MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide unit alongside a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera has a resolution of 16MP and is located inside a punch hole in the upper left corner.
Since the Realme GT has a flagship-level chipset, it has EIS and can easily record 4K / 60fps video, while slow-motion support drops to 720p / 480 fps./p>
The GT’s battery is 4500mAh with 65W fast charging over the wire, but there is no support for wireless charging.
You get the latest Bluetooth 5.2 along with all support for Wi-Fi standards up to 6th. The Dolby Atmos tuned sound configuration includes a bottom-triggered speaker and the earpiece doubles as a second for stereo purposes.
The Realme GT runs Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 and comes with the latest HyperBoost 4.0 package to allocate as many resources as possible to the game when you need more performance.
The Realme GT 5G is available in three colors: Galactic Silver, Deep Sea Blue and Dawn Yellow with a leather finish. Only the first two options are available in the base configuration of 8GB RAM / 128GB storage for the incredible price of CNY 2799 ($ 430 / € 360). All three can be all three with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage at CNY 3,299 ($ 510 / € 420).
The first flash sale will take place in China and is scheduled for later today. It is not yet clear when the Realme GT hits global markets.
