Ram Charan married Upasana Kamineni in Hyderabad on June 14, 2012. The actor is the son of megastar Chiranjeevi and he is cousins to southern actors such as Allu Arjun, Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej.
Ram Charan was diagnosed with COVID-19 last December. He was quarantined at his home with Upasana. She even shared a preview of their “home quarantine” and wrote: “That too will pass. Hopefully better 2021. No symptoms and he’s holding on. I tested negative but chances are I will. becomes COVID positive.
