The Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 series of SoCs may be in the works, as their purported specifications have surfaced online. Having to be based on a 5nm architecture, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 and Snapdragon 775G SoCs can offer better performance than the Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G SoCs. The leak also hints at support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage with the Snapdragon 775 series. As of yet, Qualcomm has not shared any information on rumored chipsets, so this information should be taken with a pinch. salt.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 Series Specs (Expected)
Xiaomiui, a channel on Telegram, shared the alleged specs for the supposed Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 SoC series. Mentioning the Snapdragon 775 and Snapdragon 775G, the leaks show that they will be based on a 5nm process with a processor from the Kryo 6 series and 3200 MHz LPDDR5 RAM support. It will also support 2400MHz LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 dual-lane HS Gear 4 storage.
In terms of camera support, the Snapdragon 775 series could feature the Spectra 570 ISP with support for up to three 28-megapixel cameras at the same time. It can also process a 64 megapixel sensor with a secondary 20 megapixel sensor at 30 fps. As for connectivity, the leak shows support for Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, LTE Cat 18, mmWave 5G, and Sub-6 5G.
It’s unclear what the differences will be between the Snapdragon 775 SoC and the Snapdragon 775G SoC, as the leak doesn’t clarify the same.
The channel also mentions that the Snapdragon 775 series could fuel the Mi 11 Lite rumor. However, this goes against previous leaks that mention the Snapdragon 732G SoC. It should be noted that a report from XDA Developers mentions that the leaked image is from an earlier review of official material which is out of date.
As mentioned earlier, Qualcomm has not shared any details about SoC’s Snapdragon 775 series, nor has Xiaomi shared any details about the Mi 11 Lite.
