PSG’s Kylian Mbappé and Julian Draxler prepare for ‘difficult’ return leg against Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain’s dramatic and relentless victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League has left fans around the world eager to see more of the two powers clash.

For PSG, it was a huge victory, but one that the players know must be appreciated temporarily and then forgotten. Wednesday’s 3-2 win over the Bavarians won’t matter next week in Paris and Julian Draxler and Kylian Mbappé are fully aware of that.

“We scored the goals at the right time. Bayern had more of the game, ”said Draxler (as captured by FCBayern.com). “We were very efficient up front. It was already very difficult and we were running backwards a lot. But we have the quality to score the goals up front. It was a good first step. But you saw the quality of Bayern. It will be a very difficult second leg.

Mbappé echoed Draxler’s feelings.

“It was the efficiency of the two teams that tipped the scales,” said Mbappé, who had a brace in the match, including the winner of the match. “We converted all our chances and of course we were a bit lucky on the other end because Bayern had a lot of chances.”
