Planning to receive the jab? These vaccination centers in Mumbai will be closed today

Bombay: After several state inoculation centers had to close in recent days due to unavailability of doses, COVID-19 vaccine shortage the wave also hit Mumbai.

Up to 51 of 120 vaccination city ​​centers will be closed today as stocks in these centers are exhausted.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Company (BMC) G / North District Deputy Commissioner Kiran Dighavkar shared a list of vaccination centers in the city that will not be operational on Friday. These include some of the major centers such as BKC Jumbo Institution, Dahisar Jumbo Institution, Sion Hospital, SevenHills Hospital, Cooper Hospital and Kasturba Hospital.

Dighavkar also wrote that the other vaccination centers that will remain operational today may also exhaust their stocks prematurely. He urged people not to worry and assured that the Union government will help the state and all centers will be fully operational again soon.

The BMC said Thursday that around 50,000 people were beaten every day in all 120 centers. Of the 120, 49 are run by the Maharashtra government and civic body, while the rest are private facilities approved for the vaccination campaign.

Maharashtra Minister of Health Rajesh Tope one day ago accused the Center of discriminating against the state when it comes to sending doses of vaccine. He wondered why the state that contributes the most coronavirus cases in the country were receiving fewer doses compared to other states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
