Anyone over 18, now eligible for vaccination from May 1, can register for their injection from April 28 on the CoWIN and Aarogya Setu platform, the government announced today.
As India faces the world’s worst outbreak of Covid, with its daily cases overtaking the United States today, the government last week opened vaccination to all adults for the first time.
Under the new vaccine rules, states and private entities can purchase vaccines directly for immunizations.
The center will continue to vaccinate those declared eligible so far – frontline workers, health workers and people over 45 years old.
