All matches are expected to take place in Karachi.
The 2021 Pakistani Super League is expected to resume in early June, with all matches scheduled to take place in Karachi, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Thursday (March 11th). The PCB made the decision in consultation with the franchisees and the Board of Governors.
While Pakistan is set to play a series in South Africa in April, the June window is the only narrow opening available for the board as the men’s national team will leave for the England tour shortly thereafter. It remains to be seen, however, how many foreign players will be available during this window.
“June has emerged as the most preferred and convenient window due to the international engagements of Pakistan’s national cricket team in March / April and late August / September,” CPC said in a statement. Thursday March 11. “The remaining 20 matches in June are now scheduled after the return of the Zimbabwe men’s national cricket team on May 13 and before their departure for England on June 26.
On March 4, the tournament was postponed due to an increase in positive COVID-19 cases among those involved in the tournament. Only 14 matches have been played so far, and the remaining 20 will be played in June – with dates yet to be determined.
