OxygenOS 10.3.9 is deployed for OnePlus 6 / 6T with February patch

It’s been a while since we last talked about a OnePlus 6 and 6T OTA update, but OxygenOS 10.3.9 is now rolling out with the February 2021 security patch.

The OnePlus 6 series wholesaling is fast approaching three years, and unlike some other brands, if camera performance isn’t very important to you, performance levels are still pretty good. We’re not sure exactly how the duo will handle Android 11, but being quite lightweight, OxygenOS 11 will help increase lifespan even further.

We don’t know yet when this update will arrive, but OnePlus has confirmed that OxygenOS 10.3.9 is now rolling out for the OnePlus 6 and 6T on the official forums. There is nothing noteworthy beyond the February 2021 security patch and the latest GMS update package from December 2020. The changelog notes a few fixes for “system stability”, but it is generic enough to give no indication of what might be solved. You can check out the very short changelog below:

The original announcement message states that OxygenOS 10.3.9 is expected to be rolled out incrementally, so it may take a few days or even weeks before you can install it on your OnePlus 6 or 6T.

Reports on the / r / OnePlus6 subdirectory confirm that the OxygenOS 10.3.9 update is already available on Oxygen Updater, so if you just can’t wait for the OTA file to hit your device, you can grab it now . It is available on the Google Play Store.
