In Kerala, it may decide to tighten restrictions again. This is where the TPR remains below 10%. The Kovid review meeting to be convened today will assess the situation. After easing the lockdown, there are indications that the restrictions will be increased again in case the Kovid expansion increases.
Currently, local bodies with a positivity rate above 24 have similar controls to triple lockdowns. Exemptions will be given only in local bodies below TPR5.
However, experts have suggested that strict restrictions be imposed on local bodies with test positive rates above 15. The state-wide positivity rate has remained above 10 for about a week. Lockdown concessions in the state will continue as usual from today after the weekend complete lockdown.
