Microsoft expands its Surface range with the new “ Laptop 4 ”

The Surface Laptop 4 comes in two screen sizes: 13.5 and 15 inches, both PixelSense touchscreens, and offers a choice of 11th Gen Intel Core processors or AMD Ryzen mobile processors.

Microsoft introduced Surface Laptop 4, expanding the portfolio of Surface devices that provide a unique blend of hardware and software experience for users.

The software giant’s latest device comes in two screen sizes: 13.5 and 15 inches, the two PixelSense touchscreens with a 3: 2 aspect ratio and 10-point multi-touch support.

The smaller 13.5-inch device can be powered by an 11th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor or an AMD Ryzen 5 mobile processor. While the larger 15-inch device offers two processor options, an 11th Intel Core i7 or an AMD Ryzen 7.

Devices powered by Intel chips will feature Iris Xe graphics, and AMD ones will have Radeon (Microsoft Surface Edition) graphics. Microsoft claims that the 13.5-inch device with AMD processor can provide up to 19 hours of battery life.

Both variants of the Surface Laptop 4 can be configured with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of LPDDR4 RAM and with a removable 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSD. Although AMD-powered devices are available in some configurations , Microsoft noted in a blog post.

In addition, the Surface Laptop 4 includes a 720p HD camera supporting Windows Hello facial authentication, two studio microphones, Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos, an ambient light sensor, two USB ports (types A and C ), a 3.5mm headphone jack and a versatile surface. Connect the port.

The 13.5-inch device is available in four colors: matte black and sandstone with metal palm rest, and platinum and ice blue with Alcantara palm rest. The 15-inch device can be purchased in Platinum or Matte Black colors with metal palm rest. Pricing for the Surface Laptop 4 starts at $ 1,000 (around ₹ 75,000) and is available in the United States, Canada and Japan, with additional market availability in the coming weeks, Microsoft said.

Accessories

The Redmond-based company has also introduced accessories such as Surface Headphones 2+ for business, Microsoft Modern USB and wireless headsets, USB-C speaker, and webcam, for enhanced meeting experiences.

The Surface Headphones 2+ offers 13 levels of active noise cancellation, ear buttons, an 8 microphone system for voice clarity and up to 15 hours of voice calling, the software giant noted. In addition, modern headsets, USB-C speaker, and webcam are certified for Microsoft Teams.

Earlier this year, Microsoft launched a portable Surface Pro 7+, an 85-inch fully-integrated Touch Surface Hub 2S, and an affordable Surface Laptop Go.
