Mi 10i Amazon India Availability Confirmed, Snapdragon 750G SoC Teased

The launch of the Mi 10i is scheduled for January 5. Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain confirmed earlier today that the phone will have a ‘brand new sensor’ and now Amazon India has released a dedicated landing page counting down to the big unveiling. The landing page says the Mi 10i will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC which was first introduced in September of this year. This gives even more weight to the rumor that the Mi 10i is nothing but a renowned model of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G which launched in China at the end of last month.

Amazon India’s landing page reveals key specs for the Mi 10i ahead of launch on January 5 and also confirms availability on the e-commerce site. The page confirms that the Mi 10i will be powered by the Snapdragon 750G SoC. This Qualcomm SoC is an octa-core processor with eight Qualcomm Kryo 570 processor cores clocked up to 2.2 GHz and based on an 8nm architecture. It is the latest addition to the Snapdragon 7 series of mobile processors launched in September of this year. The SoC supports 5G for Sub-6 and mmWave, SA and NSA, and the global 5G band.

The processor is identical to the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G China model, which gives more weight to the possibility that the Mi 10i is just a renowned model for the Indian market. However, Jain has confirmed that the ‘I’ in Mi 10i stands for India, and this phone comes with customizations designed for the Indian audience. It will also have a brand new sensor. The phone is teased for having a main sensor with a resolution of 108 megapixels.

The teasers also confirm that the Mi 10i may have a quad camera setup on the back. Apart from that, Amazon’s landing page also teases a high refresh rate on the Mi 10i and unique color options. Past leaks suggest that the Mi 10i is a smartphone that would come in blue, black, and orange / blue gradient color options. It is also expected to come in two different variants, with options of 6GB and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage as standard.
