Many LG smartphones may soon benefit from the Android 11 update; here is the list

LG has already confirmed the closure of the smartphone business and will focus on other areas such as electric vehicle components, connected devices, robotics. However, the brand has also said it will continue to sell the existing line. The company is also working on updates to Android 11 for many devices. Tipster Mukul Sharma shared a list of LG smartphones that will all receive the Android 11 update.

List of LG phones that will receive Android 11 update

According to the list, the LG G8X will receive the Android 11 update by the third quarter of 2021, which is still under testing. On the other hand, the LG Velvet 5G will receive the update by this month. Other smartphones on the list include the LG Velvet 4G, LG G8, LG Wing, LG K52, and LG K42. Besides the LG Velvet 5G, other devices are in the testing phase.

According to the previous report, the company suffered a loss of $ 4.5 billion over the past five years. The company was looking for buyers for its mobile phone business. Moreover, the brand could shut down the mobile phone business by the end of July 2021. However, the company is also confirmed to provide all kinds of services for its existing smartphones.

In the same news, the LG W41 series is the latest smartphone from the brand which includes the LG W41, W41 + and the W41 Pro. The price of these smartphones starts at Rs. 13,490. In terms of features, they come with a 6.5-inch HD + Full Vision display in 20: 9 format. Under the hood, the smartphones have the MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core 2.3 GHz SoC.

A 5000mAh battery powers the handsets with fast charging support via a USB Type-C port. For cameras, the devices have a quad camera setup that includes a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP depth, and 5MP macro sensor. Initially, they display an 8MP camera for selfies and videos.

Other features include rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, Bluetooth v5.0 and Wi-Fi, dual SIM cards, 4G for connectivity. Finally, smartphones measure 166.5 x 77.3 x 9.3 mm and weigh 201 grams.
