In Thiruvananthapuram, a liter of petrol costs Rs 99.80 paise. Diesel price has gone up by Rs 95 to 62 paise. In Kochi, the revised price for petrol is 97 rupees 86 paise and diesel 94 rupees 79 paise.
This is the thirteenth increase in fuel prices in 22 days. In Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, petrol prices have crossed Rs 100 per liter.
There was no change in fuel prices yesterday. On Tuesday, petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 28 paise per liter. Earlier, petrol was priced at Rs 99.54 and diesel at Rs 94.80. Fuel prices are at an all-time high in all cities of the country.

Rajasthan has the highest VAT on petrol and diesel. It is followed by Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. For the first time in the country, petrol price crossed Rs 100 in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. This was in February. Diesel has also crossed Rs 100 here this month. The oil companies revise their retail prices at 6 am every day based on the 15-day international oil price and the dollar-rupee exchange rate.
