Maharashtra ATS resolves Mansukh Hiren death case: DIG

Bombay: The Maharashtra Counter Terrorism Squad (ATS) Sunday claimed to have resolved Mansukh hirenthe case of death.

Earlier on Sunday, Maharashtra ATS arrested two associates of Sachin Vaze in connection with the Mansukh Hiren death case.

According to ATS, accused Naresh Dhare who is a cricket bookmaker had provided five fake SIM cards to Sachin Vaze and suspended Mumbai Police Agent Vinayak Shinde.

Maharashtra ATS said the two defendants, arrested in connection with the Mansukh Hiren death case, were presented to court on Sunday and ordered to remain in ATS detention until March 30.

Vaze was arrested in connection with the investigation into the recovery of explosives from a car parked nearby Mukesh Ambanihome in Mumbai on February 25.

Vaze, Deputy Police Inspector of the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU), who was transferred to the Mumbai Police Headquarters Citizen Facilitation Center after his name appeared in the death case by Mansukh Hiren, was sent to National investigation agency (NIA) in police custody until March 25, in connection with his alleged role and involvement in the placement of a vehicle loaded with explosives.

After the NIA, Maharashtra ATS is now seeking custody of Sachin Vaze, as part of the investigation into Mansukh Hiren’s death case, top ATS sources have confirmed.

Hiren, the owner of the vehicle that contained explosives outside the home of Reliance Industries president Mukesh Ambani, was found dead in a creek on March 5 in Thane.
