Kovik is the villain for Marakkar and Malik; Release postponed – Kairali News

Fiok, an organization of theater owners, said owners could decide whether or not to open theaters in the wake of restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the second wave of Kovid in the state. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Kochi.

Theaters can either be opened with restrictions or closed until 7 p.m. Fioc says it’s up to the theater owners to decide whether or not to close.

Meanwhile, Marakkar – Mohanlal as the Lion of the Arabian Sea – may postpone the release of Priyadarshan’s film. The film was scheduled to release on May 13. Producer Anthony Perumbavoor has said that the release will be postponed if the new restrictions continue. Producer Andro Joseph said that the release of Fahad Fazil movie Malik will also be changed if the restrictions continue. Malik is currently slated to release on May 13. Andro Joseph says he hopes to release it on the same day.

Meanwhile, the theatrical release of Riji Nair’s Kho Kho, starring Rajisha Vijayan as the central character, has been stopped. The producers said that the decision was based on the Kovid protocol and that the film would be released through parallel media such as OTT and TV. The film was released in theaters for Vishu. Earlier, activists had stopped promoting the film in the wake of Kovid’s aggravation.
