Kovid violated precautionary measures; Action against 369 more

Doha: Police in Qatar have cracked down on 369 people for violating Kovid’s precautionary measures. 234 people were arrested for not wearing masks when they went out.

Action was taken against five persons for traveling with more than the permissible number of passengers in the car. 123 people were arrested for not keeping social distance. Seven people have been arrested for not downloading the Ihtiras app on their mobile phones. They were handed over to the public prosecution. It is mandatory to wear a mask when leaving the country. As part of Kovid preventive measures, it is recommended that no more than four people, except one family member, travel in the car. Violation carries a fine of at least one thousand riyals. Violations related to non-wearing of masks will be dealt with under the Prevention of Infectious Diseases Order No. 17 of 1990.
