Kalpetta: KPCC Vice President KC Rosakutty resigns from Congress Rosakutty is a former MLA of Sultan Bathery and former chairperson of the Women’s Commission.
The resignation comes amid frustration with the Congress’ continued neglect of women and group wars. Rosacutty’s teacher said that the decision to leave the Congress was taken after much deliberation.
Rosacutty, who has been an active member of Congress for three decades, was elected MLA from Sultan Bathery in 1991. He contested for the Assembly again in 1996 but lost. In 2011, during the Oommen Chandy government, she was the chairperson of the Women’s Commission. Rosacutty is a former AICC member and former member of the Congress Political Affairs Committee.
