Karan Johar shows the power of love in his mother Hiroo Johar’s birthday portrait with twins Roohi and Yash

Filmmaker Karan Johar shared a beautiful family portrait on his mother Hiroo Johar’s birthday on Thursday. The photo shows Hiroo and Karan’s twins, Roohi and Yash, in the frame.

Sharing the photo on Instagram Stories, Karan simply wrote in the caption, “The power of love…” It shows Karan kissing Hiroo with one hand and his daughter Roohi with the other as he looks at Yash.

Karan even named his daughter Roohi to rearrange the spelling of her mother’s name. His son is named after his late father, filmmaker Yash Johar.

Hiroo often appears in Karan’s candid videos about his children’s activities at home. She co-parentes the four-year-olds with Karan.

Karan once revealed how Hiroo welcomed his surrogate children. He had told the Hindustan Times Brunch that the day they arrived home would be “etched in (his) memory” forever. Elaborating this scene, he had said: “It was actually a full time on K3G! Very dramatic. With my mother standing proudly at the door as Aunt Jaya (Bachchan) holding a puja thali with searing diyas to welcome not her bahu – but her grandchildren, all my aunts crowded behind her. “

Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor also wished Hiroo Johar his birthday. She shared a throwback photo of the Johars on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “To my darling Aunt Hiroo. I wish you nothing but the absolute best … have a happy birthday!”
