TV star and comedian Kapil Sharma, whose popular The Kapil Sharma Show was interrupted in February, said he is currently sitting at home, out of work. The show is slated to be back on the small screen in May.
Kapil was responding to fans on Tuesday night during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) Twitter session. One fan had said, “I want to work with you sir. May I have a chance,” Kapil replied cheekily, “Hand to abhi khud ghar baitha hu bhai (I’m sitting at home right now, brother)! “
The Kapil Sharma Show was interrupted the second week of February, almost two years after it began airing from December 2018. According to reports, the show was interrupted because host Kapil wanted to take time for his family. He recently welcomed his second child, his son Trishaan.
Asked about his birthday, which he celebrated last week, Kapil tweeted during the QnA session, “Aisa kuch khaas plan nahin tha bcoz of # COVID19 (We had no such plan because of Covid-19) . “
He also revealed that he will soon be posting photos of his newborn son, Trishaan. “We always want to see them Please share your photos with your family, we want to see our Jr. Kappu (baby Trishaan) @ KapilSharmaK9,” a fan wrote to him. Kapil replied, “I’ll post it soon.”
Confirming the show’s return, Krushna Abhishek told a major daily last month: “The show returns to television in May. We haven’t finalized the date yet.
