Kangana Ranaut says she got ‘secret calls’ from big stars like Akshay Kumar after Thalaivi trailer: ‘They can’t openly praise him like Alia and Deepika movies’

Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter on Thursday to share her thoughts on how the Hindi film industry works. The actor claimed to have received “ secret and thankful ” messages from big stars like Akshay Kumar when the Thalaivi trailer was released. However, the same actors dare not express their true feelings about her work in front of the world, she lamented.

Stating that you have to be objective about art and not let their prejudices prevent her from truly applauding it, Kangana Ranaut tweeted: “Wish an art industry could be objective when it came to art. art, and not indulge in power play and politics when it comes to cinema, my political views and spirituality should not make me a target of intimidation, harassment and isolation, but if it does, so obviously I’ll win.

Explaining further on her first tweet, Kangana shared a post that read, “Bollywood is so unfriendly that even praising me can get people in trouble, I got a lot of calls and secret messages, even big stars like @akshaykumar, they praised the @Thalaivithefilm trailer to heaven but unlike the Alia and Deepika movies, they can’t openly praise it. On the job front, Kangana is looking forward to three outings – Thalaivi, Tejas and Dhaakad. While Thalaivi is a Jayalalithaa biopic that will see her play the lead role, Tejas is a war drama where Kangana tries out the role of a Sikh soldier. Meanwhile, Dhaakad is introduced as a true blue actor with the actor playing the role of Agent Agni.

Dhaakad also features Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in core parts. It is due out on October 1 of this year.
