Highlight:
- Aakash Chopra named IPL XI
- Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul have been named in Chopra’s squad
- Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson is the wicket keeper of the team
Chopra’s opener is Shikhar Dhawan, who is batting as well as he did last season. Punjab captain KL Rahul also joined Delhi’s Dhawan. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson will be the number three batsman. Sanju is the only player to score a century this season. Sanju is the wicket-keeper of Chopra’s team.
The midfield includes two undoubted players. Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers of RCB. The performance of both of them this season is impressive. The first all-rounder is Deepak Hooda of Punjab. Hooda was selected because of his batting prowess against the Royals. Another all-rounder is KKR’s Andre Russell. Although Russell was not in great form, what was included was a surprising decision.
