India slams Pakistan and says it is using UNHRC for malicious propaganda | India News

GENEVA: India criticized Tuesday Pakistan at The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for deliberately abusing the forum for its “malicious propaganda” against New Delhi.
Pawankumar Badhe, First Secretary of the Permanent Mission of India in Geneva also criticized the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) for its statement on Jammu and Cashmere, saying that the body has no locus standi for commenting on such matters.
Using his right of reply under agenda item 2 at the 46th session of the HRC in response to a statement by the representative of Pakistan, Badhe said: “Pakistan’s deliberate misuse of this august forum for its malicious propaganda against India, aimed at distracting the attention of the Council from its own grave violations human rights, has remained a constant. ”
“We reject the reference to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the OIC statement. It has no locus standi to comment on issues related to Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral and inalienable from India, “said Pawankumar Badhe.
India has said that Pakistan, an economically dire country, should end state-sponsored cross-border terrorism and end the institutionalized violation of the human rights of its minority and other communities.
“Pakistan, a country in dire economic straits, will be well advised to stop wasting time with the Council and its mechanisms, end state-sponsored cross-border terrorism, and end the institutionalized violation of human rights. ‘man from his minority and other communities,’ Pawankumar Badhe mentioned.
“Members of this Council are well aware that Pakistan has paid pensions to terrorists feared and listed on state funds and has the dubious distinction of hosting the largest number of terrorists banned by the United Nations,” he said. Badhe said.
The Indian diplomat recalled that Pakistani leaders have admitted that “it has become a factory for the production of terrorists”.
“Pakistan has ignored that terrorism is the worst form of human rights violation and supporters of terrorism are the worst human rights abusers,” the Indian diplomat added.
Badhe said the Council should ask Pakistan why the size of its minority communities such as Christians, Hindus and Sikhs has significantly decreased since independence and why they and other communities such as Ahmadiyyas, Shiites, Pashtuns, Sindhis and Balochs were victims of draconian blasphemy. laws, systemic persecution, blatant abuses and forced conversions.
“Enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and arbitrary detentions of those who attempt to speak out against the establishment are rife in Pakistan and have been carried out by state security agencies with impunity,” the diplomat said.
