Delhi; Kovid has settled 44,111 more people in the country in the last 24 hours. With this, 4,95,533 people are currently undergoing treatment. Of the total cases, 1.62 per cent are active cases.
738 more deaths were confirmed to be due to Kovid. This brings the total death toll to 4,95,533. So far, 2,96,05,779 people have been cured across the country. In the last 24 hours, 57,477 people have been cured. The cure rate has increased to 97.06%, according to the Ministry of Health. The weekly positive rate is below 5 percent. At present it is 2.50 per cent
The daily positive rate is 2.35 per cent, the ministry said, adding that the test capacity has increased significantly. A total of 41.64 crore tests have been conducted, the health ministry said in a statement. However, only 34 crore vaccine doses have been distributed in India so far. Yesterday alone, 43,99,298 vaccine doses were distributed.
Meanwhile, Kovid cases are on the rise in Kerala. The previous day, 12,095 people had been diagnosed with the disease. The test positivity rate was 10.11. 28,31,394 people have so far been freed from Kovid.
