Heritage Festival begins in Khor Fakkan | 28Mar2021

Khorfakkan : Sharjah Heritage Days kicks off in Khor Fakkan The Heritage Festival runs until April 3. There will be various Emirati art events and competitions. There will be a sale of clothing and jewelry and a food fair. Organized by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage.

This is the 18th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days. Heritage Days awaits more than 500 events and traditional art forms from 29 countries. The event will be held in the Sharjah Heritage area for three weeks until April 10. The exhibition is subject to strict Kovid safety standards.

It also provides an insight into the history, culture and customs of the UAE. This year’s fair is based on the theme of cultural heritage uniting us.

Apart from India, Belarus, Macedonia, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Maldives, Yemen, Egypt, Italy, Spain, France, Sudan, Lebanon and Morocco are also participating in the fair this year.

In addition to art and exhibitions, the fair also features traditional perfumes and Emirati costumes. 80 commercial stores and restaurants set up. Admission is from 4pm to 10pm on weekdays and until midnight on weekends.

As part of Kovid security, preventive measures, including temperature checks, have been implemented to ensure the safety of visitors.

The mask, social distance and the use of sanitizers were also tightened. Disinfection will be carried out in the Heritage Village every 30 minutes. Admission is limited to 3,000 on weekdays and 6,000 on weekends to ensure physical distance.

Free parking in Sharjah

Sharjah : Free parking spaces for Heritage Days visitors in the Sharjah Al Maraija and Al Shoyuk areas. There are 233 parking spaces. The free parking facility was introduced on April 10 as part of the promotion of the activities of the 18th Sharjah Heritage Day.
