Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that KSEB has decided to implement relief schemes in the context of Kovid. From September 29, 1997, the scheme will provide free electricity with a government subsidy to household consumers with a connected load of up to 500 watts and an average consumption of only 20 units per month. The Chief Minister said in a press conference that the rate of Rs 1.50 per unit fixed by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission will be extended to consumers in the BPL category who have a connected load of up to 1000 watts and a consumption of up to 50 units per month.
25% discount on fixed / demand charge for May / 2021 for commercial / industrial customers. Movie theaters will get a 50% discount on the fixed / demand charge for May 2021. These categories will be allowed three times interest free payment till 30.09.2021 after deducting the concessions given on fixed / demand charge. The CM said that if these consumers have paid part or all of their bills for the period, they will be adjusted in subsequent bills.
