The Huawei P50 Pro will be smaller than its predecessor, according to information from @OnLeaks, who released the first tantalizing render of the next flagship. The screen will measure 6.6 inches, which means its size is closer to the P40 than the P40 Pro (which has a 6.76-inch panel).
The left and right sides of the screen still have a curve with a very tight radius, but Huawei won’t repeat the mistakes of the past – there are hardware buttons on the side.
This design keeps the phone as compact as possible. It will measure 159mm high and 73mm wide, which is even closer to the vanilla P40 model than the Pro model (which measures 162.9 x 75.5mm, for comparison).
It’s not just the smallest diagonal, the P50 Pro’s screen will have two other notable changes. First of all, the large punch hole of the dual selfie camera will be replaced with a smaller single camera. Second, there will be a traditional earpiece, replacing the acoustic screen that was introduced with the P30 Pro.
According to a report from The Elec, the Huawei P50 Pro will use Samsung and LG OLED displays and be powered by the Kirin 9000 chip (although it is still not clear if TSMC has been cleared to trade with Huawei, but others companies got the light green).
