Erling Haaland trains while watching Barcelona on TV but plays down transfer rumors

A video of Erling Haaland’s training while watching FC Barcelona on TV has sparked some rumors, but the player himself is not talking about a transfer – at least not publicly.

Haaland was training with the Norwegian national team as they all watched Barça TV, Barcelona’s own channel, on televisions in the gym.

It comes as the biggest clubs in the world – Barcelona included – are said to be all making efforts to try and land the star, who continues to score goals week after week.

While some on social media and in the gossip pages say this is further proof of his interest in moving from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona, the player himself has not participated in the speculation.

“I still have a three-year contract with Dortmund and I’m not distracted by the rumors,” Haaland said.

The young striker also weighed in on comparisons between him and Kylian Mbappé to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, humbly claiming that older legends were always far ahead of young stars.

In the same interview, Haaland apologized for the way he reacted to the final whistle after his two goals against FC Cologne only served to win a draw for Dortmund. He entered the tunnel without speaking to anyone and threw his jersey towards opposing defender Jorge Meré.

“I was very angry, out of control, and I beg forgiveness for what I did,” said the forward.
