The second part of Lucifer was an announcement that thrilled movie lovers. The announcement of the film titled ‘Empuran’ was made by the director, screenwriter and actor at a press conference. The entire Malayalam community witnessed the excitement of the Malayalee audience to know the heroic stories of Stephen Nedumpalli. When the audience heard that Prithviraj and Mohanlal were reuniting again, they asked about Empuran. Earlier, the duo had entered the shooting frenzy of Mohanlal’s directorial venture Burrows.

The success of the partnership

Empuran is the second film to be directed by actor and director Prithviraj Sukumaran with Mohanlal in the lead. After the huge success of Lucifer, the first film in which the two worked together, Empuran is preparing for the second part of the film. Prithviraj shares with the fans every step of the way as the film’s line-up progresses smoothly. Murali Gopi, the screenwriter of the film, has already hinted that the film will have three parts in total and is being prepared as a series.

It’s been two years since the movie Lucifer, which was celebrated by the fans of superstar Mohanlal, hit the theaters. Lucifer was also the first 200 crore club movie in Malayalam cinema. In just 21 days, the film reached the 150 crore club.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran for the first time, the film was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas. Murali Gopi has penned the script for the film. Murali Gopi is also writing the script for Empuran.
